The theme URBAN I is explored in a whimsical painterly way in bold colours. The urban landscape becomes a construction site, which the artist imbues each canvas with layers that are intimately part of each city. The marks on the canvases are deftly manipulated and become a tool by which the artist tells hidden stories, slipping over boundaries of the urban space recapturing dead walls, dodgy neighbourhoods, roofs and malls and then invites the viewer to a tea party in the city.
